The Marmaton Massacre Festival
July 8th & 9th, 2017
Gunn Park Trails –Fort Scott, KS

The 2016 Marmaton Massacre Festival was a huge success.  Thanks to our sponsors, all the volunteers, and to those that participated.

About Our Race

The Marmaton Massacre Festival remembers those that died during the October 22, 1864 raid of once nearby Marmaton, Kansas “by a band of confederate guerrillas (bushwhackers)”.  Although unintentional, after developing the name we learned of the historical event and agreed that it made sense to use the theme, and commemorate history.

2017 will be our 4th Annual Marmaton Massacre Festival, and the event continues to grow.  In 2015 we had the honor of hosting the Kansas State MTB Championship, and it prompted us to make the event a weekend festival.  Gunn Park is a great venue for such an event, and the City of Fort Scott has been gracious enough to allow free camping for all race participants.

We have a tremendous lineup of musical talent scheduled for Saturday evening that you won't want to miss.
